Efundja from Angola arrived in Namibia

Large amounts of rainwater in Angola cause annual flooding (Efundja) in the north of Namibia, which often causes devastating damage to the local infrastructure and loss of life.

Flooding holds in plenty of dangers.

Don't drive through flooded areas, since you can not see the bottom in most cases.

Do not ignore flood warnings, it can save your life. Floods can damage roads and bridges, so don't drive on them if you are not certain.

In Angola and Namibia, the rainy season typically lasts from November to March, and may extend into April.

Another flood wave expected to arrive from Angola held the potential to worsen the situation.
